You'll lack nothing at this Scheveningen hotel
The four-star hotel Inntel Hotels The Hague Marina Beach deviates slightly from the standard portfolio of the Dutch family business of its late founder Michel Geurts. It sits not in the city centre but on the beach.
The time is seven in the morning. Two fishing boats are just leaving the harbour. A little further on, a group of women are doing sun salutations. We watch it from the tenth floor of the . The view - on the right the Ferris wheel and the Pier, on the left the First Harbour - is formidable. Visitors to the promenade take snapshots of the large glass building on the North Pier Head with their phones. Blame them, Inntel Hotels The Hague Marina Beach, designed by award-winning Rotterdam architecture firm KCAP, has been an eye-catcher for a year now.
This four-star hotel in The Hague differs somewhat from the standard portfolio of the Dutch family-owned company of the late founder Michel Geurts. Most hotels, including in Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Zaandam, are in the city centre. So why suddenly a beachfront accommodation? Geurts had a love of the sea. When he heard about the plans for the Noordelijk Havenhoofd years ago, he jumped right in.
Inntel
Inntel Hotels The Hague Marina Beach with 226 rooms also has its own brasserie, named after Willem 1, the king who docked on the Scheveningen beach in 1813 after eighteen years in exile on a frigate from England.

There are classics in a modern twist, such as a caesar salad, a burger and a tarte tartin. But that will come later. We are ready for a dip. On the 13th floor are the gym and wellness area - with pool, sauna and massage rooms.
Swimming pool
With our bathrobe and slippers, we step into the lift. The pool is still empty. Yes! We slide into the lukewarm water.
The cappuccino is brewed for us
A bit of reading in one of the lovely loungers or relaxing in the sauna. But we want to go for a walk later. After the hot shower in our hotel room, we join the breakfast buffet. The cappuccino is made for us.
You won't lack anything at Inntel Hotels The Hague Marina Beach: pancakes, scrambled eggs, yoghurt, croissants. Yes, even the bottle of cava lies cold for hotel guests. By now, the sun is high in the sky. One step outside the door and you're on the boulevard.
There are also bicycles for hire, by the way
The lovely restaurants on Second Harbour are within walking distance. Ideal. By the way, there are also bicycles for hire. If you come by car, you can park in front of the hotel or a bit further on the grounds of The Hague Beach Stadium. For 25 euros, you can park for a whole day.
After devouring a surprise dinner in the evening (especially try the 'catch of the day'), a spa bath and sauna await us in our wellness room. We find it a little too hot for the latter, but a bubble bath... We pour the bottle of cava in our minibar into the flutes. Then we lower ourselves (enough room for two!) into the bath. Guys, guys. We'll never leave this place again.
