News from With Us In The Residence
The headline is off! The tenth edition of Bij Ons In De Residentie (BOIDR) magazine is in the works. With a new design and many new names.
Those new names in BOIDR's magazine include two seasoned fashion men from The Hague: Sydney Ruperti of Atelier Ruperti on Koninginnegracht and Jeroen de Wal of Store du Nord at the Noordeinde.
Quirky, tough menswear
The former is all about sophisticated details, fabrics and fits for the right occasion, while the latter is all about quirky, cool menswear. Both are very passionate in their respective fields. "After 20 years in the management of international fashion companies, I wanted to do things completely differently: do it better, make a difference," De Wal told BOIDR. Noted.
BOIDR launch
Of course, it features many more exclusive Hague entrepreneurs and institutions in November - when BOIDR launches. Such as Bosman Wine sellers and House of Italy, where Gastrovino Scheveningen part of it. We hang out with many of these entrepreneurs. Nico McGough - we like to call him 'the walking wine encyclopaedia' - tells the juiciest wine stories.
In May's newsletter, he recounts the do's & don'ts with summer wines. "I got a red American in the glass the other day, a zinfandel of (please sit down) 16.7% alcohol. Even as a seasoned wine geek, you struggle to finish one glass of this. So intense, so heavy and almost burning from the alcohol." So which wines do? Check the here. With both items, we will be doing regular win competitions. So be sure to keep our Instagram account in mind.
Meanwhile, we are also busy making new, short films. After real estate developers Maasstede it will soon be the turn of the full-service estate agency Avenir Realty. Since owner Roos Ouderdorp entered her corner building on Laan van Meerdervoort / Anna Paulownaplein, the number of employees has grown from six (including herself) to eight. "And on and on!", Ouderdorp thinks. High time for a film and new photos of her staff.
