5 x Hague hotspots you don't want to miss (April 2025)

April has some new places in store that you will definitely want to try out. Think a restaurant where music sets the mood and a place where you are surprised with a new menu every week. Read on and discover this month's hotspots!

1. Onda

Music and good food come together at Onda, the new hotspot in the Station neighbourhood. The menu, inspired by northern European flavours, offers everything from subtle dishes to bold combinations. Think, for instance, of a leek dish wrapped in seaweed - almost like a sushi roll. Meanwhile, you'll hear music whose every note sounds crystal clear thanks to Onda's collaboration with two renowned speaker brands. The music bar is open from 3pm from Tuesday to Saturday and spins until late, with DJs and vinyl collectors taking over the turntable with their favourite records on Fridays and Saturdays.

2. Thrive Coffee House

Thrive Coffee House, in Geuzenkwartier is a new hotspot in the Hague coffee scene. The concept rests on three pillars: top-quality coffee from local roasters such as the Roast Factory and Ief & Ido, creating connection through events and workshops, and sharing knowledge and skills. Besides your favourite cup of coffee, you can enjoy delicacies such as sandwiches from a social workshop, homemade granola, cakes and croissants. Rob de Heer, who got the idea after travelling around the world, wants Thrive to create a place where everyone can flourish. It's about more than just coffee, it's a meeting place.

3. Atelier Cucina di Vino

There is a new address for Mediterranean shared dining in Zeeheldenkwartier: Atelier Cucina di Vino. This wine restaurant is the latest project of Joris van der Poel, also owner of Mozza e Mezze on Prins Hendrikplein. Every week they serve a new menu, with Joris first selecting the wines and then coming up with matching dishes. The interior has a homely feel with authentic details such as beautiful tiles on the wall. Atelier Cucina di Vino is open on Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 18:00.

4. Beachclub Zen

On the site of old Otrobanda, at Strandslag 1 in Kijkduin, now sits the new hotspot Beachclub Zen. Here you start your day with coffee in the morning sun, settle down for lunch and linger until the sun goes down. From the charcoal grill come fish, juicy meat and smoky-flavoured vegetables, alongside fresh bites and light dishes that are perfect for a day by the sea. Want to really relax? Then join the Gentle Flow yoga classes on the beach. By the next spring sunshine, we know where to go.

5. Na Brasa Kijkduin

If socials are to be believed, Na Brasa Kijkduin is becoming a hotspot to keep an eye on. It is currently still closed, but the 5D concept has already piqued our curiosity. This Latin fusion restaurant with Caribbean influences wants to tantalise your senses with all its flavours, smells, sounds and images. We look forward to seeing when the doors swing open.
