5x new hotspots in the Hague
From cakes to burgundy steaks, and from Mediterranean bites to vegetable bagels that combat waste, these places in the city are not to be missed.
1. Café Cami
Café Cami, one of the new hotspots in Zeeheldenkwartier, serves drinks and dinner, as well as lunch on Saturdays and Sundays. The eatery serves a menu of classic bistro dishes, often with a surprising twist. Think gnocchi with pumpkin and sage, mushrooms à l'escargot, and Brussels sprouts with blue cheese. Café Cami's laid-back atmosphere makes you feel at ease quickly, whether you stroll in or spend a long evening, alone or with friends and family.

2. Adore Cake Atelier
On Reinkenstraat in Duinoord Adore Cake Atelier bakes fresh cakes and pours delicious coffee. The two founders, Anastasia and Daria, who met as home bakers through Facebook, now combine their passion in this atelier. Not only can you enjoy pastries here, you can also order custom-made cakes for special occasions like birthdays and weddings. Are you shopping on Reinkenstraat? Make a stop at Adore Cake Atelier, get something delicious or find out what they can bake for your next celebration.

3. Restobar Moos
De Fred has added a new drinks and dinner joint: Restobar Moos. The establishment by Shimo Verbaan and Daimy Puister, also known from employment agency FourParties, opened at the end of December. The restaurant, named after their daughter's middle name Moos, focuses on Mediterranean shared dining. Think dishes like ceviche of scallops, risotto with saffron and Parmesan, and beetroot tartare with parsnip, pistachio and avocado. Their cocktails, such as the 'Smokey Paloma' and the 'Herbal Smash', we also definitely want to try.

4. Papa Steak
Those who love meat should definitely be at Papa Steak. The restaurant recently opened its doors at 11 Denneweg. Here, it is all about epicurean pleasures: meat from the charcoal grill, side dishes like Papa Fries and a wide selection of wines. With dishes like Papa Steak and Papa Friet, mums have also been thought of, with the special Mama Steak. Prefer fish? Then you've come to the right place too, with dorado from the grill, tuna steak with sesame crust and sole à la meunière. The charcoal grill runs seven days a week at Papa Steak.

These bagels contain at least 40% of fresh vegetables, such as rejected tomatoes, sweet potato and beetroot, and help reduce food waste. Topped with ingredients like brie, homemade string meat and grilled ham on the bone, they offer a twist on your lunch. So are you on your way for a walk on the beach or shopping in Nieuw Kijkduin?
